Our experienced Veterinary Team
Dr Pieter Grimbeek
Dr Pieter Grimbeek is a highly respected veterinary consultant in the swine industry with more than 40 years of experience. He obtained his BVSc degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Pretoria in 1974 and began his career as a state veterinarian before joining the Animal Health Divisions of Pfizer Inc. and later Hoechst AG.
In 1982, he completed a BVSc (Hons) degree at the University of Pretoria, specialising in Pig and Poultry Diseases, and established his own consultancy in 1985.
Dr Grimbeek consults to numerous swine producers, pharmaceutical companies, and feed companies, and has served on various committees and advisory boards within the South African swine industry. He is also the owner of Harmony Piggeries and Just Pork abattoir, and a partner in the Malu Pork deboning plant in Kimberley.
Dr Christo Fick

Dr Christo Fick obtained his BVSc Veterinary Science degree from the University of Pretoria in 2019. During his studies, he achieved several milestones, culminating in the SAPPO award for the best final-year performance in Applied Porcine Health and Production.
In 2020, he completed his Compulsory Community Service (CCS) year in Lehurutshe (North West), gaining hands-on experience in clinical and surgical consultations across production, companion, and wildlife animals.
Dr Fick joined the Agri FARMACY Professional Services Inc. team in January 2021, bringing his expertise and dedication to supporting animal health and production.
Dr Andy Hentzen
A registered herd health and production specialist, Dr Hentzen has over 20 years of experience in the feedlot industry - as a staff veterinarian at Karan Beef, in senior leadership roles at large feedlots, and in the pharmaceutical sector. He is also an Associate Professor and Specialist Veterinarian: Bovine Herd Health at the University of Pretoria's Faculty of Veterinary Science.
He holds an MSc (Vet) in Production Medicine and an MDP certificate, both from UP, and has led numerous production and pharmaceutical trials. He is registered with the Namibian Veterinary Council and is an active member of RUVASSA and AVC.
Raised on a cattle farm in Namibia, his passion for improving producers' health and production stems from farming alongside his father - a drive he now channels into Beef Intelligence, researching how AI can enhance precision feeding as part of his current PhD.
Marc Raath
(BTech Animal Health)
Marc Raath is a qualified animal health technician specialising in animal diseases and epidemiology. He is currently pursuing his Master’s, researching welfare and behavioural practices in pigs within indoor intensive production systems.
Before joining Agri FARMACY Professional Services Inc. in 2021, Marc gained valuable experience at high-profile piggeries and farming institutions across Gauteng. He has also contributed to research studies and academic articles, developing strong expertise in nutrition and medication management, biosecurity, serology, and overall herd health.
In his capacity as valued animal health technician at Agri FARMACY Professional Services Inc, Marc is involved in supporting veterinarians with vital tasks such as:

- Saliva- and feacal sampling
- Sonar pregnacy diagnosis
